Launched at the end of 2017, SMARTY is a telecommunications company which provides mobile phone network services to users in the United Kingdom. They are a mobile virtual network operator and as such make use of United Kingdom network operator Three.
The business offers three plans to customers. All are pay as you go, with payment being made in advance and without contracts. The deals are SIM only. This gives a degree of flexibility since, at no cost, you can alter the plan package you are using. The plans are titled ‘small’, ‘medium’ and ‘large’ and all include limitless texts and calls to UK numbers.
The data included on each option ranges from 2GB to 8GB. Perhaps the greatest perk of the SMARTY service is that any data you have not used at the end of the month comes off your bill the following month as a discount. If, however, you do not have enough data at any point, you can also buy more in the form of an ‘add-on’ for the same price as you would normally pay in your plan.
If you go abroad to Europe, you can use your package as normal at no extra charge. But, if you go further, you will need to add extra money to your account in advance. You also need to add extra money in advance if you are making calls from the UK abroad.
Plans are also available purely for data.
You can sign up for your SMARTY SIM via the website. All you need is a mobile phone which can tolerate 3G or 4G networks. You can even keep your current phone number. Your SIM can also be activated on the SMARTY website.
To answer any questions that you may have, the company have a help centre on their website which covers a wide variety of topics.
However, if you need more help, SMARTY have an online chat service available every day of the week, including weekends and from 8am until 8pm.
SMARTY has been mentioned in a wide variety of media outlets and consumer sites such as The Huffington Post, Financial Times and uSwitch.
The company has received a four-star rating of ‘great’ on Trustpilot.
