Neos was launched in 2016 with the goal to change our vision on home insurance with the help of technology to prevent accidents, leaks or other bad events from happening in the first place. Neos promises to send you a tradesman free of charge to fix any home emergency issues at your place for repairs costing less than £1,000. If the damages are worse, then you will have to make a claim on your Neos comprehensive home insurance with high cover limits
Uses smart tech to keep your home safe
Neos provides to each customer eight to eleven wireless smart sensors: smoke detectors, motion detectors, window and door sensors to prevent intruders and smoke and leak sensors to detect a leak as little as 3ml of water, completed by an indoor HD 1080p cameras (all the set is worth over £700).You get a feed of the live camera on the App and you can also switch on/off the window and door sensors at any time.
If a sensor is triggered, you get alerted in your App, but if you can’t get reached or your phone is off or has no service, then the Neos team is on hand 24/7 to help.
Comprehensive home insurance
Neos have three levels of covers customers can sign up for which are:
The Good Tire is the basic option and covers up to £750,000 of buildings and up to £75,000 of contents
The Better policy includes £1m of buildings cover, up to £100,000 of contents cover and home emergency cover as standard.
The Best has unlimited contents and buildings cover, home emergency cover as standard and a £50,000 valuables limit.
Each quote is customised but policies usually vary from £15 to £60 per month, including all include technology and comprehensive insurance cover with a £200 excess for all policies. If you have to make a home emergency call-out, there will be no excess and it does not count as a claim. It is also interesting to notice that Neos does cover bikes worth up to £1,000 and for those who own a premium bike, you can add an option that will cover bikes up to £25,000 away from the home.
