Since its foundation in 1983 in Scotland’s capital, the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) has offered its members access to some of the finest whisky from Scotland and around the globe, in addition to other membership benefits.
Membership benefits are extensive and include receiving the Society magazine 4 times a year, access to tasting and events, and entry to the club’s member’s rooms.
It is easy to subscribe to the SMWS and become a member online. There are several membership options tochoose from, including membership only, a pioneer welcome pack and a membership and tasting tickets option.
Of course, members can also purchase some of the whisky offered by the society. Customers can search forwhiskies in various ways, to ensure they are getting the perfect tipple for their palate. These include by flavour profile, such as spicy and dry, by region, such as Islay, or by age, which ranges from under 12 years to more than 21 years. Other sprits such as gin, cognac and rum are also for sale.
Purchases can be paid for in several ways, including by Visa, Maestro and PayPal.
The SMWS entrust the delivery of their whiskies to renowned delivery company DHL. It is possible for you to be in touch with DHL directly to arrange the most convenient delivery conditions. Deliveries will be made to addresses in Northern Ireland and the mainland United Kingdom free of charge for members. International delivery is also possible and prices are calculated depending on the weight of your order.
Returns are possible on bottles which are unopened, in their original condition.
